Guess what?! I am sitting in the clubs room studying, catching up my notes on good old land law, then these two guys walked in, with their suits and guitars and stuff. And start singing songs! Woot!

AND MAN THEY ARE GOOOD!

Anyway, this is what I wore to uni yesterday. After browsing some street style blogs recently, I am bringing my short tulips skirt back into my wardrobe horizon. I am utterly happy to finally wear these Topshop socks as they should be worn, not hidden under some trousers.

Out of a few fashion shows in New Zealand Fashion Week this year, I would have to say Twenty Seven Name's is definitely my favourite. Inspired by school uniforms, the line were filled with crisp white dresses and shirts, flat shoes, white socks, plaits, buttons and collars. I am pretty sure I am not the only one who loves and secretly miss my school uniforms back in those days.

I wish I can write more but I should really be listening to my lecture now. So keep an eye on this old blog, I'll post some pictures later. ;)

Sometime this time every year, Student Life Canterbury would have a night out for a few students that had shown immense growth in their spiritual walk. They are the fat and simple ones. Like me. Faithful, Available and Teachable; plus Spirit filled life, initiative evangelism, methods and material, purity in relationships, leadership potential and enthusiasm = Committed Student Leaders!

There are some important things that we do:
1. Encourage each other in our walk with God through our past university year.
2. Cast visions on the scarce time we have left.
3. Challenge to commit and invest our time as a committed student leader.

Then there are some not-so-important things that we do, like:

1. Rejoice!

2. Get all dolled-up.

3. Eat yummy desert and drink awesome coffee.

4. Day dream...

5. Double takes and check out each other's outfit.

6. Have a manly pile-on.

7. Take some proper and decent-looking group photos.

8. Have a random shot photobooth with your bestie.

9. Ask really random gross-out questions.

10. And, smell each other.

and sometimes...not everyone smells that good. >:(

Personally speaking, I love it! I had such a great time, feeling all encouraged and ready to go. ;)

So it's New Zealand Fashion Week this week and I could't go this year, which sucks. But I am not going to sit around and sulk. I am celebrating fashion week in my own little shopaholic manner. After buying a pair of designer boyfried jeans from Nobody last weekend (which I can't wait to show you guys, half price!), I did not splurge (because it was less than $60) on a sequined tunic/dress from Stitch Ministry. Shadowing Sunday: Diane Kruger

No, I am not much of a big fan of Diane Kruger. It's just because I am trying to make myself blog more consistently that I randomly came up with Shadowing Sunday, so there will at least be something up each week. And I was just looking at the whole boyfriend jeans trend because I had been in pain yearning for a decent pair of slouchy BFjeans from a decent brand - not like some random yuck ones. Then I found this on polyvore:

Cool right? A simple outfit made out of mostly things that you probably already have in your closet, the loose sweater, basic gray tank, gladiators from 5 seasons ago....you get the point.

So I thought maybe I can find another outfit that is worth shadowing. :) Here's what I came up with:

Basic black jeans that you should already have for years, washed denim jacket and silk scarf from that charity store, striped tee that was in style 2 seasons ago, little printed tote/book bag from your high school years and a pair of tough looking studded boots.

But if you don't already have these items, you can get them at Topshop.com(denim jacket). The tote is A.P.C bead bag and the rest can easily be found in any retail or even outlet stores near you. ;)

Earthquake = 0; Eva = 1

Oh yes I did not get quashed by the 7.1 quake that happened a couple of weeks ago. The only reason I disappeared from the bloggosphere is just because I disappeared. I have had moments like these before, where my bloggi-land became a dry parched piece of desert. Not because I stop wearing or buying pretty clothes, just because I don't take pictures and write about them. And soon enough that creepy urge to want to show it to the world would catch up with me and I would resume constantly posting again.

So Christchurch city had been hit by a big quake in the early Spring, actully, on the first day of Spring itself. Hmm...aren't we trapped in the cold for so long that we need a big shake to celebrate the return of the sun?

And for me, big quake to celebrate my pair of Jeffrey Campbell patent brogues. Ever since I started reading blogs I marvelled at the shiny, pretty, stylist kicks that other bloggers wear. Trapped way down south than the down and under, I never thought I could get my funky polished nails around a pair of shoes I internet-lust over. Oh my I sound so sick. Ew.

But I did. And it was on a S-A-L-E. Like my collector* daddy would say: "Sa-layyy". Dad's undeniably a shopaholic, he gets so excited over sales and even made up his own pronunciation for it! Shopaholic, no? Except he calls himself a collector. Yea, right. I am a collector too. >:D

When in doubt

For us southerners, winter is coming to an end. And what I hate the most about end of seasons is that trends seems to be so old and unexciting and most of us would stop caring about what we wear already. By the last month of the season we are convinced that there are no new on-season pieces or creative ensembles that we have not seen. Since I am new to this whole one-year-four-season thingy, I find myself surviving end of seasons like a fashion victim. Or I would just give up and go back to the sweater and jeans combo.

Well, what I did was to search up the street style shots from winter in the northern hemisphere for inspiration. Here's a little something I came up with:-

One. When in doubt, wear the fool proof classic big black coat.

Two. Crazy tights in winter = refreshing!

Three. Yes we know but we forget sometimes, to layer-up!

Four. In case you skipped washing your hair in the cold weather, wear a hat. ;) Nobody needs to know it is just a fashionable cover-up.

Five. This will last you till Spring, maybe even early summer, considering how crappy New Zealand's weather had been. - The nude trench had been in trend since last spring and still going strong!

Winter Woes

Winter is getting a little more than frustrating. Gloomy days and ever-so-wet footpaths are not my thing. For some reasons, I have been stocking up dresses for spring. It should (technically) be weeks away from now. But looking at the way things are going so far, Spring break is not going to be much of a Spring break for me.

After spilling my first semester off wandering in blogs and online stores, my inner suppressed geek is eating me up with guilt. So I stocked up my uni locker with food and I am ready to sit in the library, drink energy drinks, chewing almonds and swallow my law textbooks and casebooks, and hopefully wrap my mind around some crucial economics theory.

But before I kill all the remaining readership (after neglecting the good old blog so much recently), I did promised a few girl friends to organise yet another vintage hunt around the beautiful city of Christchurch! So that is definitely something to look out for. ;)

What I wore: Forever21 utility parka, P.Princess lace top, Foldover button shorts, navy tights, vintage buckle shoes.

Oh and I bought these Neff x Skull Candy earmuffs-headphone. They keep me warm and mitigates the winter damages when they are not clamping my head too hard.

Yay! I love being on the panel for talks and stuff. The last one I was invited on was for our club's weekly event about relationships and tomorrow we will be talking about friendship. It is really cool how we still talk about things like this when we are in uni and can afford the luxury of time. Conversations like these will be so hard to come by once we start working and have heaps of other stuff piled up in our real-working-adult-world plate, no?

Not that I have that luxury of time that I speak of. Seeing how I have neglected this blog and left it neglected for quite some time. Rest assured that I still wear cool clothes, match them, wash them, remix them. But without the time to actually record my what-I-wores, I can only do this, for now.

Magazine cut outs! I think this is actually one of the best runway to real way ensemble that I have seen recently so sharing = caring.

With sugar pumping in their blood and way too much fun at a conference before that, they made their way up the hills for a spontaneous photo session. I have thinking about the O.P.I. lilac dusty nail polish since last autumn/winter. It's just the perfect colour even though purple is not the colour that most people want to see on nails. And since I cannot justify buying a tiny bottle of nail lacquer that I will not finish using, I held back that desire. If I were to describe my want for it I would put it this way: if it was a pair of shoes or a dress, it would probably cause physical pain on my shopaholic self. So thank God it is just nail polish.

And double thank God for running into a perfect counterfeit that costed less than half the price in Bling. Happiness happiness joy joy.

It is gorgeous, pleats and nautical collar, with brown-bronze-like ribbon over navy woven material, how purfect is that! Unfortunately, the price was more than a little bit out of reach for me, not even a bountiful minimum wage can salvage that. Just turned 21

I am so sorry for the lack of posts. But after finishing all my tests in the most miserable ungraceful way, all I wanted to to rest, thus the hiatus without notice. My weekend was relaxing and I turned 21 on Monday! Which was also the Queen's birthday. Ever since young I am convinced that no matter what happens I will celebrate it on the day itself, not before, not after. So we sucked it up and paid the 15% surcharge for dinner.

When I put the event up in facebook, I put Total Sanguine 21 as the title because it fitted that case perfectly, I did not plan the event at all. My cellphone was out mainly because I refuse to top up my cellphone credit during exam time. The booking was made and changed a few times and all the guests did not get invited until the night before and the invitation was sent out around midnight.

I had completely no idea what I would wear, but then Yvonne and I went to the city earlier that day for lunch with my aunt so we took a detour and I grabbed this gorgeous bow top from Witchery (which was on sale!). Isn't this top amazing?! And from Witchery! I would never buy anything off Witchery unless there is a sale. They are so posh and expensive! Anyhow, I paired it with my favourite skirt, patterned tights and my favourite shoes. Rex came to pick me up a minute after I put on a decent amount of make up and I was running around the house stuffing things into my handbag.

The dinner went beautifully and I just realised and counted that 21 people turned up! I got around 150wishes from facebook, texts, emails etc. So I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who came and those who couldn't come but sent their wishes. You guys are amazing!

P/s: Yvonne gave me $150 birthday money which I splurged on two huffer dress and some thermals, show you next post? :)

Big coat day and a glimpse of sunlight

Yet another try at photography

It had been raining for almost two weeks and finally we got some sunlight today. I don't mind winter that much really, just as long as it is dry and not too windy. Oh and I realise that I talk way more about weather when I am in New Zealand, simply because the weather changes so much and it is crucial to wear the right clothes, not just pretty ones but warm ones.

Mom called yesterday and asked me if I still dress up all pretty for school and I totally had this warm fuzzy feeling inside. Mom and I are both girly girls with a hint of tomboy-ish bully element. Many people that I know told me I am a lot like mom and I am glad. Whenever we go shopping together we would always secretly lock our doors and try out our clothes right after we got home. When I first started doing it, I used to think it so convenient, mom never comes and check on me when I was trying out my new clothes and making funny happy sounds in my room, turns out she had been doing the same thing in her room.

Anyhow, we got a glimpse of sunlight today and I am so totally appreciative of that and dressed up all nice. I was going for the Alexa Chung with big coat and denim dress look, complete with thigh high socks and everything, but this outfit only really saw the light for no more than an hour. I just walked to the campus right opposite our place to get some notes printed and back. Oh well, I did feel all happy looking all brit-like with my chignon so I guess it's all worth it.

Oh how I love big coats. Ignore me making a face. I was just too excited. Isn't this coat in the prefect length and colour? Oh coaats.

The Dress-Up Soiree

One of the many things that stop me from constantly updating my blog last week is actually one of the most blog-worthy event in this year. Well, blog-worthy for my blog anyway. Since the great America is too far away, I am deprived of the opportunities to attend flashy nice intimate little blogger meet-ups by Independent Fashion Bloggers, Weardrobe, Chictopia etc. BUT, since I am involved in Student Life in uni, and we do have a wonderful group of ladies and a tradition of having a big girlie event every year, we made a list, of all the possible things we can do. Chocolate fountain and tea party won all our squeals.

The Dress-Up Soiree happened last friday in Olivia's newly painted lounge. We had wonderful food (especially the scones!), tea, coffee, hot chocolate and amazing ladies. Thank God for it being a girls only event, we ate (almost) shamelessly. If it wasn't for the fact that I was wearing my $250 leather jacket, I think there is a possibility of me trying to dive into the fountain.

Anyhow, I brought my camera and shot away! The pictures came out beautifully and we did a photobooth session which was then made into a video by yours truly. Hope these will be sufficient to keep you coming back to my blog for a while as I will be having my midterms over the week. :P

I have to say I am so bad at time management because I procrastinate a lot. But I am working on it and I am sure I will make a point to set time aside for actually writing some nice long posts instead of the picture and two line of words thing that I kept doing recently.

So what happened to me since the last time(around a week ago...the last one was kind of a scheduled post so it doesn't count) I posted something? I slept for less than two hours on 3 consecutive days. I guess you might be curious why would I do something so cruel to myself so I am going to tell you. I had an essay due on Friday. An essay which required a reading done beforehand, and the reading was hmm....not very short. I did hand in the essay on time and enjoyed most of time when I was writing it while feeling all academic and smart.

Other than that, I thrifted this $1 velvet-like jumper (originally from Marks and Spencer) from the hospice store in the student union building before they close down (sad face).

Oh and I tried to wear a tee, pencil skirt and cardigan combo like Alexa Chung, but ended up going more indie than brit.

Honestly, this outfit happened last Thursday, before I saw Whit's collection last night. It is just that I haven't got around to edit the series of photo to put them on my good ol' blog. It does resemble the first photo a lot. And I love how sometimes we just hop on the right trend/ensemble. Serendipity never fail to amaze me. My first wow moment happened years ago when I first started shopping for my own clothes - which was a long time ago. Pam and I decided that I simply had to buy that grey shirt dress (as seen in a few post back). It appeared in Cleo Magazine a month after I bought it. I think I still have that issue of Cleo lying around in my bookshelf in Malaysia. :D Feel free to post a link to your blog for some Eureka! moment of yours.

Yes that was what I said to Rebecca when I found out that Andrea from A Cat of Impossible Colour is having yet another vintage sale! Olivia was totally sad when she saw me in my 5 dollar point zero dress I got from Andrea's the other day so I told her I am 99% sure that with a wardrobe that size, Andrea will definitely do another sale before she moves! The delightful email arrived in my mailbox during my two hour Land Law class. HAHA. I could barely walk straight after class. I think the bounce in my steps were quite obvious.

Anyway, this is something I found from Andrea's blog and I decide that I will do it.

Listening to: She and Him - I was made for you.

I have been playing She and Him on a loop since I first got my hands on them. It seems that not many girls that like dresses and old things can escape from the charm of She and Him. I play their songs when I woke up in the morning, when I was taking my shower, when I was biking to uni, when I am taking outfit shots, when I am blog surfing, and till I fall asleep.

As I promised, here is the four dollar plaid shirt! - along with the velvet bubble skirt I got cheap off Trademe and one of my latest guilt buys wool jacket. I love this outfit. Velvet had appeared on so many runway shows that it is impossible to ignore. If I can get out of this laze trance, I will do a velvet on runway post. Maybe. Hehe.

Outfit aside, I made myself some salad this afternoon to get some vitamins into my system. No thanks to tests and the major allergy break out days before that, I have been walking around all corpse like with no make up because my skin look awful from the lack of sleep and the doctor told me not to put anything on my lips for a while. :(

Summer is long gone but the actual effect of autumn just came in last week. The heat in the wind and the sun that warms up the cold had officially departed from the way down south. My horrible tests are finally over and I can finally enjoy the doughnuts Yvonne got from Auckland!

Since we don't have any doughnut chains in Christchurch Yvonne is always excited to get them whenever she goes to the North Island. She escaped my warzone last week by going to see John Mayer's concert. I kind of escaped by buying lots of stuff (and selling lots of my old stuff). It was as if I had a closet upheaval. I woke up yesterday and was just shocked. Literally shocked, in fear, because my shopaholicism had come to a stage that I am capable to haul out my closet and replace them with something else. I can barely recognise some pieces of clothing that I brought from Malaysia with me a couple of years ago. They are the brave ones that survived my constant clothes trading.

So I guess I am going to stop brutally shopping. Like what my friend Rex suggested, it is impossible to stop completely but I can shop less. I can. :)

I guess I will do more remix outfits from today onwards then!

I launched head first into my books around the time we had Anzac day. It was the end of last week. I have been dying to want to go to Two Squirrels vintage for weeks but talked myself out of it. Then, I stop going to malls and shops and thrift stores. The reasons for all the above, midsectionals. Every law student's third worse nightmare (after law essays and law finals). Unfortunately, mine was lined up 3 in a roll, back to back. But I have to say, it is not as hard as last year's exams. Either it's me not trying hard enough, or my new plan of energy sustainability is working.

Okay, first thing first, outfit shot! This is what I wore for a meet-up/catch-up with the girls. It i kind of a grab and run outfit though. It was soooo hard to wake up early today but I did not regret staying up late last night though. At least I got some work done. We talked about life values and things that affect them, which was really interesting. It was fun having a deep and intimate conversation with the girls. And our conclusion was to keep our eyes on the prizeee! That pretty much sums up my morning. A meaningful morning. :)

Now, let me introduce you to Mr. New Old Shirt. I first ran into this shirt a couple of weeks ago and decided that I have already got a Zara shirt and can forgo this one without flinching. Then it just sat quietly in the hospice store, undisturbed for 2 weeks. I gave in to temptation this morning. After all it was really cheap! And for charity!

It is a size 8 but a bigger fit, I reckon it will go beautifully with a skirt or shorts or even tapered pants. So look out, it will make its debut in my outfit shots soon enough. :D

Oh yes, I am almost broke from my recent shopping spree(s). So, instead of continuous "taking", I am "giving back". Agony

I don't mean to whine but I kind of have to let it all out. My lips are flaring up! I am not sure what trigger it though. But it is excruciating! It all started a week ago and I thought that dry chapped lips are just from the change of season or something. Then they started turning purplish-black last night, from inner bleeding I expect. They were all dried, hard, flaky, itchy and burnt. So I asked a friend who is studying medics in Russia and he told me to keep it moisturised. I raided my skin care section and found nothing useful because I want to avoid anything that might possibly worsen it, if it was possible at that point to be worse. What I ended up with was avocado oil.

Weird but yes. It reminded me of the time that I had this whole skin writing thing going and dad couldn't find rice wine and had me using some of his collection liquor instead. The smell of alcohol in my room made me all drunk but did not help a bit with the itch. Avocado oil were good for the first couple of hours then my lips started flaking off again.

When I sat down at the desk just now I had to brush off some brown-ish crumbs-like things off the keyboard, only to discover that those are my dead skin which feel from my lips. I must have been in so much agony that I didn't realise! But again EW. I gave up orange juice when I was in fourth form in high school because I drank juice from a cup when I had my first allergy reaction back then. Trust me, it was as much torture as those stories we heard about war victims in the Second World War.

Sorry about the gory details. I just really needed to write them down.

Okay this is a bit random but Perpetual Princess just launched their first ever designer series of pretties and I am thinking about getting them to sell it in New Zealand (and I am figuring out how to sell it international as well). Perpetual Princess is a local label in Malaysia owned by a friend of mine (or my brother's to be exact). We had been trying to get the stocks to sell them overseas on our last trip back in the summer. Here's a little peek-a-boo at the new line!

Since I started buying vintage clothing last year my biggest concerns were how to wear them without looking like the weird cat lady. I think that is what most of us would think about a lot. As in how do we make vintage wearable and blend in but still remain distinguishably chic.

These ladies seem to be doing a good job so I put them in as a reference to share with you guys. :)

I was introduced to this awesome game last year by my fellow Studen Lifers in uni. So there is this thing that comes out with random words which can be set to come out with words under specific categories. The catch is, it beeps, and it beeps faster and faster as time runs out. You are supposed to describe the word for your team mates to guess and pass it to the next person when they got the right answer. You lose if it stop beeping when it is in your hands.

We played it at Caleb's flat last year and it went something like that:

I am such a big fan of (500) Days Of Summer. It all happened when I watch it on my 10 hours flight back to Malaysia last summer. I figured I paid a fortune for that ticket so why not make the most out of it by watching heaps of movies that if I watch them some other time I might have to pay for it, i.e. rent it, buy it or worse, watch it in the cinema. I am not a super stingy person, to be frank.

Anyho, back to the point. Zooey Deschanel is just such a charmer, in a very cruel way. But I loved it. I want every outfit of the movie in my closet and I am still working towards it. And as a typical OCD, sometimes I just want to learn to dance like that and do whatever things that they do.

So, check out this video, it is somewhat awkwardly vintage in a way. Like how watching Sugartown's mtv gives me chills.

I am very proud of myself today plainly because I woke up early. I had been wrestling with the idea of going to Andrea's vintage sales this morning. Since I did kind of spent a fortune on a fur coat and a wool cardi just a couple of days ago, I should probably freeze my credit card AND my eftpos card like Isla Fisher in Confessions of A Shopaholic. Then I did kind of locked myself up and ended up op-shopping (and NOT op-shopping) and bought a pair of woollen gloves, a vintage waist belt and two pairs of pattern tights. Arghh!!!! What have I done?!

Then again, who can resist the chance of shopping the wardrobe of a vintage blogger who has the most impressive pieces in Christchurch WHEN IT'S ON SALE! Seriously, nothing was over $50!

So what happened was that I brought $25 dollars with me. Yes, $25 dollars. I started to feel like hitting my head against the wall 5 minutes after stepping into Andrea's garden. The dresses were my size and wool coats were $30. I contemplated and weighed all the pros and cons and grabbed two items that fits into my teeny weeny budget range.

There were so many things that happened simultaniously in that 2 hours sale. And among them, I met amazing ladies who love vintage clothing (and a fellow classmate)! Brodie was so very kind and offered me a ride back to uni after that.

Anyhow, I am satisfied with the things I got and here is one that I just can't wait to show you guys!

But then again, all I got was a $5 dollar belt (as seen in picture) and $2 woollen gloves. So it's not that bad. I guess. Oh wait, and those new tights. Okay, maybe it is bad.

Vintage Hunt

If you are my friend from Facebook, you would know that I planned a vintage hunt trip for the girls during this Easter holiday. I have been cruising through the days as if I am on vacation - which I shouldn't be doing - so it took me a few days to edit and finally upload the pretty pictures we took along the way.

I had always wanted to go sniff around in Christchurch city centre since last year but the only time I could actually go roam around the streets were Sunday afternoons after church ends when all the shops are closed - sad face. But our university's weekly magazine ('Canta') published a feature on vintage shopping just a few weeks ago and listed some of the most amazing shops and I was just so tempted to go. So after gaining a year of experience bus-ing and reading actual maps and finding the right addresses, I gathered a group of ladies and we head off for an adventure.

2nd Edition - not really a vintage store but it is a secondhand bookstore in the city where we passed by. Special thanks to Esther for showing us this beautiful little hidden shop in the alley. The owner is a chic lady with great concepts and really modest when it comes to compliments. Her shop is just gorgeous and stocked with art and wonderful books. I love how it is not overwhelmingly big and the place smelled nice, unlike most old secondhand bookstores on the main streets.

The owner gave me a slip of paper with her shop details when I bought Sophie Kinsella's 'Remember Me' ($6!). It says "2nd Edition Art & Quality pre-loved books (bought and sold) 22 Poplar Street Christchurch City Centre 03 379 3501". So here you go, if you are in Christchurch and is planning a vintage shopping trip, take a detour to this little shop, I'm sure you'll adore it!

Etcetera - it was featured in 'Canta' magazine. This the the first shop that we went into on the trip. It was not exactly what I imagine it would be but definitely a good starting point for the trip. Etcetera smelled like coffee (because they sell coffee at the corner of the store) and is filled with militaria antiques from the Second World War. I could not help but stare at the military jackets and the stained flag in awe. Then there was some impressive pieces like this old Hollywood styled dress. It was as if I just walked into Catherine Zeta-Jones' "Chicago" wardrobe. Gasp!

The ladies took a picture with the hat collections in Etcetera. I love Rebecca's hat!

Above: This is my favourite alley way in the city, where they hang vintage bicycles on the walls. I accidentally walked into this back-lane last year and took a few pictures of it and thought that it would be cool if I can show it to somebody, and I finally did! :) And we found the car that was up on the walls opposite this one. Yes, a VW mini cooper.

Above: Tête-à-tête on Hereford Street, our last stop of the day. The owner is a darling lady who has good taste on vintage things. I bought the most beautiful little wool cardigan I have ever seen here! It fitted so well! It was a 100% wool (warmth!) cream coloured knitted cropped cardi with metal buttons. Just typing the description of it gives my shopaholic heart a jolt!

Other than that, we went to Lin's at (71, Kilmore Street) for Dim Sum lunch. It was amazing! All the girls were satisfied and happy when we left. Yummy custard desserts~

And I leave the best for the last, Gertie's Vintage Clothing on High Street was epic! They had lovely coats hanging on the racks and gloves in a vintage briefcase! I found the tiniest fur jacket that no kiwis would fit (Yooyah Asian Size!) and I am just thankful that people from 10 20 years ago are 2 sizes smaller than the modern homo sapiens. Some pieces are over-priced though I would say, but Gertie's do have the most amazing collection of vintage clothing I've ever seen so far.

Regretfully, this is what I call a lazy post. Although they are inspiring and amazing, I have to say, I tend to do posts like these when I am busy and have no mood for a decent outfit post/better researched posts.

Anyhow, these ladies are amazing. Look at lady #1! The skirt convince me that sheer is totally chic! And to top that the tights matches the outfit like they are meant to be together for life. I just love how she wears a simple t-shirt and leather jacket to tone down the mod-ness of the bottom. This is what I label as fashion genius, the serendipity kind of ensemble that is simply chic and inspiring.

Lady #2 had on this edgy black "cold shoulder" blazer that literally screams out. That is one gorgeous piece that I would not consider wearing. So I have to put it in the category of "to be awed at". But I have to say, isn't her skirt just intriguing? Not only that it is high waisted and in the right colour, the textured coil on it is just pure individualism.

Lady #3 and Lady #4 are just direct opposite of each other, one with cute head-dress and the other with geek glasses - but both wearing the (almost) identical shoes! They are the perfect outfit shots to show how we can achieve different looks with the same pair of shoes. Flared coat for a girly look or checked pants and manly jumper for that town chic look. Delightful!

Even though lady#5 did not stand out when I first lay my eyes on the photo, I do like how she wears her denim vest. I had been contemplating whether a denim vest can qualify as a wardrobe staple and this photo is just making the decision harder. She look so 90's in a good way, with black lace, black laced-up boots and denim vest over zipper top. She just look so comfortably out of time.

The last lady #6, hmm... she made me feel like studding my black trench. If she is wearing that trench minus the studs, it would not be nice at all, would it? Ah, how studs can spice things up.

Sometimes I do wish we have more interesting fashion people walking around in Christchurch. Walking in the city without running into any fashionably dressed person is just not natural, don't you think?

Last Day Of School

I was just thinking about going hiatus for Eve's Eden after coming back from the retreat from Mount Hutt. Then came the long waited and well-deserved Easter holiday! This Chambray shirt finally arrived at our doorsteps yesterday. I was quite doubtful about getting it at first but it was the only item that is vintage-likable and affordable so I placed my bid half hoping that I would be outbid. But guess what, nobody bidded after me!

Anyway, I have been reading The Sartorialist's blog faithfully lately, and decided that this outfit would be cool to put together. :) I am sorry I couldn't write more in this blog but I am rushing for a dance party with the girls! More updates soon? Maybe?

It has been a while since I did an editorial post, so behold the links round up of these inspiring blogs of March. As the weather is finally turning decent for northerners, the weather down south had certainly took a sharp turn to the bad side. We have been having windy, cold wet days.

So I look to these pretty ladies for inspiration. These are some tips that I gathered:

One. Get an oversize knit jumper to keep you warm. Put it over dresses/top and you will feel warm enough to wear open-toed shoes.

Two. If that doesn't work, put on a pair of plain white socks or some tights. They go so well with brogues, pumps and even clogs!

Three. Lace is in and floral prints stay. These material brings a softer edge to your outfits and they are just the thing we need to add a twist to boring colours.

Four. Alter that dress! Check out the links above and you will see that most successful bloggers can at least do a bit of alterations or DIY. Thrifting may be the best way to recover pieces from the past but they usually don't fit perfectly. Go with what your heart tells you. Whether it is to chop off the sleeves or to shorten the hem, they will be pretty by the time you are done.

So ladies, may you be pretty through all the seasons of the year. As Tim Gunn says, "make it work,". Wink.

That is what came to my mind when I put together this outfit. A dark coloured floral skirt with a crisp white shirt and a knit jumper, what else do you need to look like a Catholic school girl?

Anyhow, I didn't know what happened this morning, it was as if tireness hit me like a train. I could barely wake up bubbly and all ready to go like usual. Then I forgot my bicycle helmet. I was almost at uni until I crossed path with another girl without a helmet then my brain told me something's missing with that girl, it clicked, and I almost fell off my bike. So I ended up walking to uni with my bike. The good thing is I ran into Nicola on the way, we chatted while walking so it lessen the awkwardness of me pushing the bike.

My day ended (almost) more orderly than it started.

Just another short note, this skirt make me miss mom... who bought it for me. I love you mom, if you ever read this. :)

Ohh yes I am a sucker for American Idol. My sister and I watch it almost religiously every week and I have to say, the girls this season are amazing! Didi Benami is definitely one of my favourites! And Siobhan Magnus because she sang Think and hit the jaw-dropping note.

I am just glad that this season's participants are more individualistic than ever! Woot for personality!

Following the last mail day, it took approximately one week for my other mailed things to arrive today. Despite my various attempt to go easy on the shopping, I bought this lomgraphy Holga 120N last week. The package includes the camera, the flash, camera bag and two rolls of film. They practically greeted me with a smile when I arrive home today, just in time for out big photoshoot outing tomorrow!

We had been having a few cold days in a row, today's almost-warm weather is precious. I finally get to wear the coat that mommy gave me, with my new thrifted top. The best part is that this outfit is actually all comfy and didn't overheat me a bit biking to uni. Oh and Olivia and I went for a lil' grocery shopping and got some bubble tea (yum!). Then we spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out in Shelly Common Room eating Chinese yummies and chatting.

Hmm...I am just so excited about tomorrow's shoot! I guess I better go get some shut-eye soon. Tomorrow's going to be a long day, with the shoot then the barbeque and Euving and Rebecca's engagement party. Toodles my beloved readers! Wish you guys a happy happy weekend. :)

The weather was awful yesterday, it was all rainy, wet and cold. Not a bit like summer at all. So I had to bus to uni instead of riding my new bike. But guess what, my wishlist clogs arrived yesterday! I was lusting for a pair of Chanel like clogs and browsed through Etsy and Ebay to try to find a pair that has reasonable assemblence that I can work with but found none (the Jeffrey Campbell pair was way out of my pitiful budget).

Lo and behold the awesomeness of Trademe. I found it under size 6 category which is two size smaller than me (wept) so I asked for the measurements, turns out it was UK sizing. HA!

Olivia told me yesterday that clogs/high heels were once made for bad weather, to avoid muddy water being splashed on the hems of expensive dresses. So it arrived just on time for me. :D

I had to wear the clogs with a pair of socks because of the cold...but it worked out pretty well. Much like Alexa Chung's Madewell collection.

I finally got my bike on Monday! It's a pretty little Raleigh Sphere 2.0. I wanted something that look somewhat vintage so Helen introduced me to her. We also got her a little basket, locks and some mudguards. Yvonne is thinking about sponsoring me a carrier. What do you think about this gorgeous little lady?

It had been so long since I came up with some outfit shots, mainly because mom and dad was around for the first couple of weeks, and now that we have two guy flatmates, I am more cautious about my photo-taking time, just in case I get caught posing in front of on a camera on tripod. Boys would never understand.

This top is the one that I bought online last year but I have always thought it is slightly too big for me, but today, I am in love with the butterfly-like sleeves and pink embroideries. Tugging the blouse into these mid-waist jeans definitely helps. Oh and these shoes! I just got them when I was coming back so they arrived on my first week back. Aren't they the perfect vintage buckle shoes? Vintages pieces are getting pricier around here, maybe I should take up sewing or something. Any ideas on where should I start?

P/s: I got the idea of taking photos like these from the lomography website. (Took with my Canon Eos1000d and edited them). I am hunting for a lomo toy camera. With a bit of luck, we might be seeing some dreamy film camera photos up here soon!

So we've seen Alexa Chung's amazing collaboation with Madewell featuring the most crave-worthy wooden/leather clogs. As it turns out clogs are no longer confined to little wooden fridge magnets you got from Holland or 70's/80's hippie boho shoes. They are back and ready to take over a fashionable season.

So far,we have seen them flaunting it in Chanel's Spring 2010 shows, paired with feminine white stockings and floral details. They are also spotted in Max Mara's runway show, Alexa Chung x Madewell's debut. Methinks they deserve a spot in my wishlist.

Locked out

I am terribly sorry for the lack of updates for weeks. The fact is, I had been packing since the last post, then I got on the plane and head back to Christchurch, with my parents, uncle, aunt and a little cousin coming along for a 2 weeks holiday. And in the midst of that, uni started again. In other words, there were text books that needed to hunt for, supplies that I needed to top up.

Whilst I tried to bring everything I need from Malaysia (considering the gigantous luggage limit we have since the six of us are travelling together), I failed. But 0 week, week one and week two had been going well for me. I bought a vintage-look bike that should arrive later this week, along with simply gorgeous rattan basket with a handle, mudguards so I can ride across the fields and locks to prevent thieves. I also got a multifunction printer, a sony voice recorder and some pretty rattan storage boxes for my piles of clothes.

Oh and note for the title of this post, we got locked out. Yes, everyone in the house (Yvonne, me, Vincent - our new Malaysian tenant, and Steve - our new Taiwanese tenant) got locked out because the front door's door knob decided that it is going to retire while everyone is not home. I had to climb in through the windows to unlock the doors. But it didn't stop Yvonne and I from going out for a dinner I craved for, and a lil' shopping for our little home. :) I had Royal Roast, it was delightful, it made me full and happy. Yvonne had some thai noodle soup from Poppy Thai, they look as good as they taste. Yum.*

Note: Outfit shots would probably start as soon as I have time to take photos of myself. Ha! I am totally bummed that I did came out with new cute outfits but not taking any shots plainly because I was so busy. Sad.* :(

Hey I never thought that I would write this letter. But again, I probably wont sent it anyway. I don’t think I ever want anyone to know this. Maybe it’s because we have always been this way.
So here it goes.

I think I changed. And I have never liked changes. I would always look back in my past and wish I hadn’t change at all, it doesn’t matter if it is for the better or for worse. The ironic part is, I have changed things that I don’t want to change and the ones that I want to change remains the same.

For instance, I am not as cheerful and bubbly. Now I think I have this hatred and desire for vengeance boiling inside me. I am less friendly, sometimes I’d rather just be rude and offensive. I think less of good things and trust me, it’s not by choice. Somehow somewhere along the road I lost the longing to be home, the passion for that glimpse of hope and picked up this vulgarly fierce hag. I am sceptical when I should be positive, cruel when I should be nice, tired when I should be energetic. My unshaken faith happens less and less. The change is so evident that I thought someone must have poisoned me. And these are the things that changed.

My fears did not changed. They didn’t even quiver. As if the change in me occurred in a totally different territory. I am still afraid of the dark, keep all the windows and door tightly locked. I still have this warning that rings up telling me I should avoid these boys ‘cause I don’t want to wake up one day, married, and regretting the first moment I open my eyes and see the face of the person sleeping next to me. I am still doubtful of “us”. I still hold on to the belief that you should live like a teenager while you are, doing all the crazy things I did. I hope you are, because I’ll be Jack and you’ll be Eva. But I hope you aren’t because that didn’t last. The other thing that didn’t change is sometimes I still feel like parts of me belong to you, and you to me somehow. It happens once in a while.

I still miss my best friend, unsure of that if I love him. These are the things that changes and did not. I wonder if you would still take me. And if you would, what would I do.

Happiness is by choice. If there ever are any valuable lessons that I've learnt in my 21 years of living, this has to be it. I have to admit that I don't always know it. Sometimes I just deny it anyway. But the truth is, as mom get grumpier and dad gets more distracted, these words spoke out to me. I can't be happy unless it is my choice.

The options are I can either take in every critique, scoldings, insults and let them rot in my churning tummy, or I can turn and walk away whistling "for I'm a jolly good fellow..." -because I am.

Anyho, I choose to be happy right this moment. :) With all my clothes that are cute and comfy.

won't hurt if you have some partners in crimes too.

Lovely Bones

I just finished watching The Lovely Bones and had at least cried like 3 or 4 times. The movie is just pure beautiful cruelty. I like how Peter Jackson managed to make a murder case and such gruesome heartbreaker into an art. He is a genius.

Susie Salmon was the girl who was murdered and she is brilliant in the movie. And I kind of like her 70's bright and colourful outfits that echoes her personality as the bright passionate girl. The only thing that I cannot fathom is why would I even consider the outfit that was worn by somebody victimized. I definitely don't want to attract any attention in that way.

Anyhow I am kind of in a rush to run some errands so I'll just leave you with some pictures! Note the knitted hat, colourful pants, bell bottom jeans and bits of floral shirt. And the kitted lavender dress plus pink boots!!!! Cute as a button.

The Military Jacket

Hut! Indeed the puffer jacket may be our number one choice for keeping warm, but I am very sure that there is a not-so-new rival in town. I first spotted this amazing piece in one of many Asian magazines that I bought, with cute Japanese girl pairing them with frilly dresses and short skirts. Even though I am a 100% asian girl, I have to admit that I can never work out any cute outfits (proof: I'm selling off that furry dress I got just a couple of days ago). Oh well, I am already very satisfied with the other clothes and shoes that I can wear.

Anyhow, since I've already bought a military styled jacket of my own (as seen in my previous post) from Forever21, I did a little homework of my own. These photos can be found in Onlylady's website, which is all written in mandarin. I personally like Taylor Momsen's ensemble the best.

New Girl In Town

No work today! Yay! I am so grateful that my parents spoils me once in a while when I am on holiday. It helps to make me feel that I didn't actually throw my summer away working for them for all 3 months of my vacation here - even though I do.

So this pretty outfit comprises of all things new except for the vintage belt. Amazing isn't it? Everything look positively vintage! I got this printed tee shopping late one night with mom. I almost didn't get anything but saw it right before Mango closes and grabbed it right away. I am so glad I did. And I just got the skirt and the brogues yesterday from the mall. I think the prints on the skirt is just gorgeous, very Liebemarlene.

Ah...how I miss the cool weather in NZ. Malaysia is heating up as Chinese New Year draw closer. I am very sure it's hotter this year. The weather had gone crazy everywhere. Argh.

I am a grump today because my boss was being difficult. And I was totally worn out from the 2 car breakdowns yesterday and the day before. I can only say, I don't appreciate it when he insisted that I stay after working hours to sit out on a happy hour drinking session hosted by the bank which he is a VIP customer of. It was excruciating. Then I hurt my knee just now. A series of unfortunate event.

I think I can only feel better in a comfy ensemble. Good old T-shirt and shorts. And a pair of killer boots to kick my boss. Feisty.

I suddenly remembered about shopaholics yesterday. Not the series of book, but shopaholics in general, well, mainly famous ones. Like Mary Todd Lincoln, Marie Antoinette... etc. It seems like most of them would have some kind of preference on things they spend on (as in Mary Todd Lincoln who bought 300 pairs of gloves in a day). Then I thought of my dad, who calls himself a "collector", he splurge mainly on cars, bikes, cameras, electronic devices, watches and men's shoes. He has tonnes of clothes too.

So I was taking my outfit shot after reading an article about consistency in blogging. It hit me. I knew it from the moment, my fetish was for coats. Make sense though. I grew up in a country with no cold weather. Seeing, touching or wearing a good warm coat means we are heading somewhere far far away for holiday. The thrill of holding a thick heavy coat is just exhilarating.

Naturally, now that I spend most of my year studying down south, I have to own some decent coats to keep this tropical shopaholic alive and buying. Of course, I don't need them here with me. But as I open my closet in search of a decent outfit to put together, I found lots of outerwear that I barely have a chance to wear. And they are just gorgeous!

Introducing Frankie Magazine, of art, fashion, music, craft and life. I found this bi-monthly magazine in Ruby's boutique. The magazine is based in the great land of Oz but nonetheless retain the artsy feeling that those big zines in the states have. I think it's awesome. Very much like what we see and speak about in lula magazine.

Since I was stuck at work until well after my working hours. And my bosses, being my parents thought it was appropriate for me work every minute while I was still at the office. I stole about an hour to do this collage while I could. That was before dad flood my desk with another stack of his dream projects and mom with bunch of long detailed formal letters.

I didn't get to wear this dress as often as I like to, mainly because I love it so much that I want to preserve it by not washing it too often. Being on holiday in Malaysia doesn't help of course. Nobody wears dresses here! I guess I must really miss the seasons in New Zealand that I took all these short with scarves and things that I would wear in the cold weather.

And because of that, I had to turn on the air conditioner in my room as I take my pictures. So please pardon the bad lighting and the not-so-well-hidden mess. :(

Sick As A Dog

Ever since we came back from Thailand, almost everyone in the family are sick. Ian is down with severe food poisoning, dad with flu and sore throat, mom with joint pain and I with cough and a very bad cold. It's a good thing though, I think. It is as if our body is demanding us to rest -which is not working that well since considering it's way past midnight and I am still blogging. But I finally got the rush to take proper outfit shots and all that. I must give the credit to my hard-earned one day off work. *smile*

I took these shots in my much coveted bedroom which I would show my friends if given the chance, but I am not much of a socialite and I still keep the belief that it is not that proper to show guests your bedroom so only my close friends had seen and share the admiration of this pretty lair that I have.

I wish I can say that I bought lots of clothes, shoes and bags but the fact is I got lots of electronics and barely any clothes (considering the clothes and shoes fetish I had since I discovered Trademe). I got a new camera, a nintendo Wii and bought a new Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch just hours ago. Since when did I become an electronic chick?! I got this bad feeling that I am gonna sell them off when I get back to NZ...but I am trying to be positive and think that I would fully utilise them. Just as how I am determine to do the things I wanna do (and can do) until I graduate and get a job and be forced into becoming a responsible adult. For now, I'm gonna do what I want. Blurh!

Road Trips and Paper-thin Dresses

Oh laziness has certainly got the better of me. After all, it is my holiday, I should be relaxing and bumming around like my cousin, Shaun. I guess setting priorities and to-do-lists kills any holiday, regardless of the fun-ness in the personality. Kills!

I had only had 2 road trips since I was back, and one is just short, but not any less valuable. First was the one to Corine's place in Sungai Petani. She got married when I was still in NZ and I think she looked gorgeous in her photos (even though she thought she looked like the she-males from Thailand). So she's pregnant with baby girl Elie now and waiting for the big day! I think the road trip was just so nice.

I had to take one day off from work because her new place is an hour drive away. The weather was perfect, cloudy with no rain, a treasure in this season (unlike today, we were sure the sun was trying to burn off our skins). Here are some photos I took on the way to and back from Sg. Petani. I forgot to snap some with Corine because we were busy catching up. Yikes a doodle!

We also visited Pei Wen who lives in the Beverly Hills of Sungai Petani and she took a break from her Twilight frenzy to hang out and chat with us. My babe!

Penang Bridge

The second trip was the one to KL with mom, dad and Yvonne. We headed to Tambun for breakfast with Uncle Eddie and his family and turned back to Penang since daddy forgot his whole pile of clothes to bring. Lame-o! But the trip was good enough, I got my dream plaid shirt and a pull over sweater from Zara. Zaraaaa! You're amazing~ Come to Penang. Pretty pretty pleaseeeeeeeeeeee~

I finally charged up my camera's batteries and took a couple of photos of the dress I wore tonight. We went to the mall for Japanese food and window shopped for a while. It was nice to have all my funky cousins around for a couple of hours. Ting is still downstairs with Yvonne watching telly. I think they are both too scared to sleep after a ghost story marathon just now. Hehe. Eeek!

My paper thin red dress gave dad a scare. He thought I was a ghost because he was drunk and heard Yvonne talking to someone in the TV room (he assume it was me) but then he saw me upstairs. To cut the long story short, he ask me who was it downstairs if I am here. I smiled. He almost fell off the stairs. Scardy cat!

What's Up Malaysia?

Nothing really. I have been busy. I am so busy that this cannot possibly be considered a holiday. I just hope I can get my target done and so earn those extra bonus that is rewarding enough to justify this madness. Workaholicism. It's crazy. I am a shopaholic. Maybe obsessive compulsiveness is somewhere in my blood, boiling over every time I get too enthusiastic about something.

So that explains my lack of decent outfit post. Besides, my hard case is so heavy that I can hardly bring any decent clothes back with me even though I was already way over-stuffing my luggage. The lady was nice enough to let me pass through with an amazing 27.6kg when the limit was 20. Big thank you to you, Singapore Airlines lady.

Funky nails and docs

I actually took these photos weeks ago when I was in Christchurch, getting all distracted when I was packing my bags before heading home to Penang. Hmm...that was when Penang was a word that rings in my ear with the tinkling sounds very much like how "sales", "shoes", "designer bags" sounded to me. 3 weeks into my arrival and I am already anticipating my return.

9 months is enough to get me addicted to thrift stores, good online shopping systems and a 4-season walk-in closet. Boots seems like a bad choice half the time when I am here, but since dad got an old Hilux that I am allowed to drive, my docs seems to fit in better with the hot & humid weather. Just for looks.

Oh well. I am sad to say that the only victim of my shopaholicism thus far is only a rainbow coloured square scarf from Forever 21. And a deposit for a new entry level DSLR that is scheduled to arrived in 1-2 weeks. Wait up, people, a decent camera is just the beginning for any blogger. :D

Looking Into My Window

Looking back into the years when I was this awkward little person - not that I am not one now - I cannot help but remember the days when I would look into his windows, more often than not, unlid. Once every few months, the lights would be turned on and I would know he was home; and I would wait, most impatiently but careful not to be noticed for his regular seat to be filled with his presence. I am sure his presence was not anymore electrifying to any other person in the room, but it seems to radiate towards me. Nudging me to turn my head every moment or so.

Now that feeling is gone, I have gotten rid of that box of a long dreamy crush. I have grown out of the years of awkward fantasies and idealistic dreams. I stepped away from the beautiful world I thought I had lived in just to see another beautiful place, cold, hard and but a bit less beautiful than the one that I had lived and breathed in. A place so idle yet engaging; so engaging that it is to be missed to do justice for the sake of its beauty.

Just as I stepped into my old world, that heavy humid air swam with such force that seemed to desire to burst my lungs from within. My head tipsy and my feet light. But the first thought in my mind were who is looking through to my window. Who is waiting for my light?

My foolishness and vanity. Who are you, the other me, the other foolish little person who waited so long, so hopefully for me?

Malicious Intentions

Nothing sucks more than living with a difficult person with a severe attitutional problem. Yes literally living with one, eat, drink, sleep, use the same loo with that person. Urgh..plain disgusting! I can't help but have malicious thoughts flying across my mind all day. Thoughts that involves sharp knitting needles, the classic kitchen knife, an imaginary pool in the backyard, a pair of black gloves, a stuffed up pillow... Thank goodness I don't sleepwalk. Who knows what my subconscious is capable of considering how many mischiefs I can plan consciously.

I did not have that much venomous thought when I took these photos but michief seems to lurk in the corner of my eyes. Simply love it.

Sunny But Not So Warm After All

So it was my last weekend in Christchurch. I've never really get the thing about holidays. I know we need rests and stuff. But what's the deal about 3 months of rest every year? What do you do? Rest all 3 months? That's like coma isn't it? Blurh...

Since it is quite clear that unless I have some projects signed up or a summer job, I don't really have a reason to stay in Christchurch for all 3 months. And being a typical first-year, I've already made sure I get to go back for my holidays and bought my flight tix way earlier. So let me be grudgy this weekend. After lots of days listening to my sis's repeated complains about her friends, her chanting about her work, her admiration for the Ellen Degeneres Show. I quit. I will be grumpy and grudgy and not nice.

Roars. Don't mess with me, or I will kick you with me boots.

Oh My Fashion Show

Style Christchurch was on at Issac Theatre Royal yesterday. Olivia and I decided that it would be awesome to go and see what does a fashion show look like so we called up some girls, grabbed the tix and did our make-up and hair and make our way to our first fashion show together. Squeel!

Woot woot. All the designers (Zambesi, Annah Streton, Ruby, Nomad..) are from New Zealand...so nothing too fancy. Mostly streetwear, but there are some pretty wow-able dresses and ensemble. I'll get the pix up if I can edit them enough to see the details clearly. But first, girl pix!!!

Nagger Nags, Whiner Complains

So I was talking to Big Bird from Sesame Street just now until my phone died on me. The big topic seemed to encircle around tuning out. One thing we both agreed on is that living with a woman is like living with a woman whom you got married to for 30 years. To simplify it, living with a woman, regardless of the actual relationship you are in with her, it will feel like she is your wife of 30 long miserable years.

Oh I have nothing against my own gender. I just think that if given the option to make life easier for someone else, we should take it, not trash it.

Nagger nags, whiner complains; that's what they do, otherwise they wouldn't be who they are. From the everyday habits of their friends, colleagues, garden, clothes, shoes...extending to things that have no relation to their life like American national TV. They just don't see the dark cloud hanging over their heads, the trail of trash cans tied to their waist.

I am not stupid, tuning out doesn't work half the time. Not listening doesn't mean you don't hear. Subconsciously absorbing is just as disturbing as actively engaging in such conversation. Only, tuning out probably helps to end the conversation quicker.

I would say. Take it easy, lady. There is nothing in life that you can't complain about if you are determined enough. Self control is a gift. And gifts, bring joy.

Laziness

And I thought that things would take a turn for a better after the finals. But laziness crept in. So, this will have to do. At least for the next couple of days.

Oh and this dress! I think I have found something scream-worthy for this week.

What I Dreamed About Last Night

I do not usually dream, or should I say I don't usually remember. That's why I do not know if I dreamed. Odd enough, a question popped in my mind yesterday - the night before my maths final exams - what would I dream tonight if I dream? The answers were instant, almost overlapping, the first was a fashion show, the second was my disastrous exams. Sure enough it happened.

The first and clearest dream was a fashion show - 3.1 Philip Lim's!!! And of course my exams. But the show was so vivid I can barely remember what I dreamed about the exams!

Ah Philip Lim. Such a good dream.

That Striped Dress

Yes, this is the striped dress that I talked about in my last few post. I went into a bidding war with another bidder and finally gloriously won it. I have my doubts though...like how people tend to look awful in stripes. But I love this dress to bits. It keeps screaming out "Paris!" to me.
