Nagger Nags, Whiner Complains

So I was talking to Big Bird from Sesame Street just now until my phone died on me. The big topic seemed to encircle around tuning out. One thing we both agreed on is that living with a woman is like living with a woman whom you got married to for 30 years. To simplify it, living with a woman, regardless of the actual relationship you are in with her, it will feel like she is your wife of 30 long miserable years.

Oh I have nothing against my own gender. I just think that if given the option to make life easier for someone else, we should take it, not trash it.

Nagger nags, whiner complains; that's what they do, otherwise they wouldn't be who they are. From the everyday habits of their friends, colleagues, garden, clothes, shoes...extending to things that have no relation to their life like American national TV. They just don't see the dark cloud hanging over their heads, the trail of trash cans tied to their waist.

I am not stupid, tuning out doesn't work half the time. Not listening doesn't mean you don't hear. Subconsciously absorbing is just as disturbing as actively engaging in such conversation. Only, tuning out probably helps to end the conversation quicker.

I would say. Take it easy, lady. There is nothing in life that you can't complain about if you are determined enough. Self control is a gift. And gifts, bring joy.

Shopaholic Anonymous

I have to admit it, I love it! I love shopping, I certainly hope that I am not a shopaholic. And yea, I don't think I can be categorize as one yet. Thank God for self-control. I know, I know, I still crave for Prada bags, drool over boots and gloves and dresses and jeans, heck, even tights and stockings and socks and scarfs and accessories and tops and jackets. And okay, it's true that I still buy books that I have no time to read and used to pile dvds up and haven't finishing watching them before buying another bunch and buy lots of pens that I haven't finishing using. But I window shop nowadays. See, I am refraining!

Here's the test. For YOU.

If you have a closet full of clothes you do not wear with tags and labels still swinging at your sight, shoes that are still in boxes or just a bunch of books or dvds that you have not finished watching or reading. You probably are.

Shopaholics are not dumb or in anyway mentally or intelligencely inferrior than normal shoppers. They are perfectly aware that they have stocked up pretty well in their closets or wardrobes and bookshelves. However, they tend to justify their purchase, i.e.: oh I don't have that shade, yes, I should get it, 'cause it's a different version, and well, this one is just different. In other words, they differentiate the products.

Shopaholic behaviours are plainly impulsive, not compulsive. Compulsive behaviours are a reaction to counteract an upsetting thought or situation. Shopping...it's plain impulsive. I wanna do it, I wanna do it now. So no, people don't go shopping because they are sad.

Shopaholics includes men and women alike. It's just that in most cases, men are "collectors" and women are just shopaholics. No thanks to Sophie Kinsella. Statistics shows that the proportion of men overshopping are the same as the proportion of female shopaholics. And overspending includes services as well, not only goods, e.g.: hair-dos, facials...

There you go. So my dad was a "collector", he "collected" cigars, liquor, cars, furnitures, etc. Mom loves bags and shoes and has her fair collection of parfum. So, I have my books and stationeries. I'll exclude clothings as I still have that area pretty much under control. Whew~

The key to curb shopaholicism or to avoid being one, is none other than self-control. I am learning mine as I go along. Hope you guys are too. =)

With love,

Eva

Freaks

It's supposed to be "internet".

As if there aren't enough freaks in my life already. Why do people speak or write or type english when they obviously can't.

Examples:
1. The right way: "How are you?"
The wrong way: "hey, how u going?"
Comment: Go where?

2. The right way: "Would you mind to be my friend?"
The wrong way: "can we make a friend?"
Comment: If you expect me to make a baby with you and befriend the baby and
you, you're nuts and positively a pervert too. Make a friend. Crap.

3. The right way: "I am fine." or "I am doing very well."
The wrong way: "I am in the well."
Comment: Great, why don't you tell me how do you get there?

Aww shucks. Shut up if you can't speak properly.

Eat my sock,

Ministry of Food

For those who don't already know, I am a fan of Jamie Oliver. He is just that kind of person whom you see in TV and feels like you have known him all your life from watching his show. Anyhow, I think he's a great person.

Hmm...so how does this relate to the ministry of food. Ministry of food is a temporary ministry set up by the British government during the Second World War, their main duties being rationing food. So, what they did is more than distributing potatoes and bread. The ministry actually go to the extend of distributing recipes on preparing edible healthy yummy food from the limited resources for the English households. Impressive isn't it?

So what is happening in our world right now? Losing wetlands, clean drinking water, farming land and even the ocean to pollution is bigger a problem than most of us are aware of. If Jesus doesn't come back for another 50 years, some serious amount of people will be dying out of hunger, thirst and diseases caused by the lack of food, water and other resources that are keeping our ungrateful butts alive. No land, no ocean, no clean water resources, no unpolluted farm land means no output of agriculture, no food, no drinking water, no water for daily use, no wood for furniture, no feathers for pillows, no leather for couch...look around you, how many of the things around you are made of the resources that we are polluting? Make a list and shock yourselves.

Though what we can do is not really that much related to Jamie's Ministry of Food as he is promoting for families and people to cook proper meals. However, let's look at it this way, if we can cook our own meals, it means to me that we can have a better control of ration of food, allocation of expenses, cut down the use of take out food containers, the costs and resources needed to go to the diners. I know my explanation is not good enough to convince people who save up resources but it does mean something if only we make an effort to just save a bit of energy and resources we have each day.

I suddenly believe in rationing everything we spend, and things we use. It does leads to a big sum of number. The voltage we are saving by decreasing the use of an electrical equipment from each household of the nation. The water we are saving by turning the tap off while brushing teeth everyday accumilated in a year. It does matters if we could all just take one step to save the creations or whatever that are left.

Think green. Suck it up and save some resources, people.

With lots of love,
Eva

Introducing Plastic's Half Brother

It is called Polystyrene. Sounds familiar? Yes, it is typically white in color, comes in the forms of disposable coffee cups and packaging material, and are made of expanded polystyrene beads.

It seems to be highly convenient to use them and throw them away right after you are done with your take-out food or coffee and tea but do you know that polystyrene beads are actually loose molecules that break off easily, meaning as your plastic spoon scratches the surface of your polystyrene rice box, molecules of polystyrene beads come off and stick to your spoon. So, you eat them along with your rice or noodles and whatever other stuff that goes in your mouth. And no, human cannot digest plastics, they stay in your body until you die, and decompose so much later than your corpse does. Fantastic, isn't it?

Polystyrene that survives from your lunch which is then discarded does not biodegrade and is resistance to photolysis. It floats on water and blows in the wind. In other words, you drink them and breathe them in. Other than that, they are a major part of marine debris, meaning fishes, prawns and crabs which do not know better, eat them and we eat the seafood. Yum.

.......................................................................................................................................

What I'm trying to say here is that it's not cool to hold a cuppa drink or a plate of food in polystyrene anymore. It grosses people off that you are contributing to the murder of mother earth and somehow, yourself, being a part of this world. Do your part, bring your own cup for coffee and reusable food containers for take out food. Think green. Not polystyrene.

Hugging a tree,

Eva

视而不见

I had learned to grow blind on things around me. Things I should not see. Like how he is making a dump and pulling her in. And how best friends are turning strange. And how that little girl is getting neglected. Probably that lady who is worried about her son too. And the people and things around you that drives you to think how foolish people live to be.

Why is he digging deep? Knowing these are plainly out of his selfish desires. Indeed no one can in anyway budge into his personal matters. And she is just running along with him. If Jane Austen is alive she would probably write about them in such ways as an example of social norm. A man with more flesh than brains, very much lack of good will and honorable intentions; and the woman foolish, with no indications in anyway whatsoever to protect her virtues, chastity and good name.

Nonetheless, ignorant and foolishness cannot be compared to cruelty and rudeness. With so much beautiful things being said, nothing is forever, isn't it true? Just as long as it disappears in a sweeter way, nothing can be of harm. Only people - the ladies especially, with no offence to my own gender - seems to have problems maintaining healthy lasting relationships. Rumours tends to come in between, and what more about womenly instinct which most of the time only happens to be inpractical assumption and in more unpleasant word, I would call it insultations. However, I am in no place to judge other's behaviour, who am I anyway? Just an incy wincy blogger who has just a little too much to say.

Oh and that young lady, yes... She is just so small. Not very well practiced in the ways of the world neither intelligent nor blooming in confidence. No one probably has told her how beautiful she is as herself and how wonderful a person she can be as she grows up. Anyhow, what more can anybody do, after all, no one cares enough to take up the burden of bringing up a bright charitable young lady, no one who fits anyway. Of course, it depends heavily on the person herself to know where to pick her role model. And she did, one who is giggly and girly, somewhat vain and not too bright. These things, we have nothing to do with, only for the society to slowly eliminate those inappropriate to survive. Unless you are able and willing to do the honor of raising some other people's child.

Well, I learn to grow blind, partially at least, just enough to abstain from inserting myself into other people's matters. All calamities and diseases of human defect, none of which I have the super ability to stop, though I may very well cushion the effect for these people, but I refuse to. Just like the cycle of economics and other things that are of the poor results of human nature, I choose to sit the best position and make the best out of the situations that I am in. A hermit, that's who I am.

Cross-post, no?

Okay, now I am seriously thinking if I should cross-post in my multiplt site as well or not. Since I only really care about this one. But there are still people who reads my posts from other channels, and other people actually includes MY DAD. How ler? How ler? I really love having more than one site, even though multiply's one is not exactly a site that I run.

And this is a new year. As in, new people, new non-female people, new conflicts, new whining posts. Most of which will not find flavour in Mr. Leong Sr.'s eyes. And people who I actually know and who are not of my age and people who you know, respect and stuff.

Blagghhhhh. Fine, I will convince myself somehow that dad already has:-
1. Forgot his multiply password.
2. Gave up reading my blog after my grumbles.
3. Even if he is still reading he'll pretend like he doesn't.
4. Totally respect my privacy because I am turning 20!
5. Somehow forget that his account in multiply exists at all.

I really love him, he's probably the sweetest dad anyone can have, it's just that everybody still have stuff they would prefer their parents to NOT know. Love you, dad. Really do.

Eva's guide to Friendship

Ello all, I've been hiding from blogging since my DAD went online and read my blog and gave me a lecture about it. Anyhow, my blogging cells are bubbling up so here's something for you reader. First of all, this is supposed to be an open journal of mine. By "journal" I mean diary, as in PERSONAL diary. It is written to express myself simply because I am a super genius and things that runs in my head can kill me if I don't output it right. And don't judge me on stuff I write or say or post, because, YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE READING THIS ANYWAY, BUSYBODIES.

See? Get what I mean when I say things in my brain can kill me. Healthy output blogging is.
..........................................................................................................................................

Tadaa. After my fair share of bad friendship with people with personality that would stink the whole Penang Island if personality have a smell, I decided to write this blog. It is neither scientifically proved, advised by professionals, shown in certified reports nor biblical. Follow it if you want but I am not responsible for the outcome and you may clap, scream, yell, laugh, curse happily if you think any of these hit the spot. Thank you.

Tips on people stuff.

#1
Acknowledge that you do not need friends, and you are comfortable being alone and most importantly, being yourself. Life is beautiful as it is and friends (good ones) only here to compliment it. You will not die or in anyway suffer misery if you are lack of them.

#2
Make more acquaintances as friends comes from acquaintances. Knowing more people means you have more prospects for friends. Give yourself time to know them and stop at the level of acquaintance if you ever find them as unsuitable friends material.

#3
Don't ever assume people are faking it around you. Yes people do that sometimes but can't you just think the best of people around you?! Anyway, only people who fakes it often will ALWAYS think other people are faking it also. So when you ask someone how is he/she doing, take his/her answer as it is and swallow down your inner cry of wanting to say "don't fake it darling." Lol, because, come on, you are the one with the problem.

#4
Accept compliments gracefully, if your parents had been incapable of teaching you how to thank people when people praise you OR you have been temporary deaf when you parents did, let me have the honour of reminding you to say a hearty thank you when people say nice things about you. By "hearty", it means say it with your heart, not saying thank you and having an inner war of how to accept it.

#5
Say sorry ONLY WHEN YOU MEAN IT. And its best that situations when apologies is need to be avoid. NOT generated. And sorry means you sincerely feel inapropriate to have did that something and you admit that it is wrongfully done even if it is for a better cause, emphasizing on the wrongfully done part. NOT the "I said it out of love part." It suck to the max when you say you did it out of love and all other people see if disrespect.

um this is supposed to be longer but most my blog posts doesn't really turn out 100% the way I want them to anyway. I find better pleasure in chatting with my sis now, so more later, if I still feel like it. Ciao ciao, nosy peekers.

live green

1. Don't drive over 60km/h, it saves fuel and your money too.

2. Go dig in your closet, someone's trash maybe other's treasure. Maybe you'll find some old treasure yourself.

3. Switch to everything e, emails, e-shopping, e-newspaper, e-banking. Save paper. Save the world.

4. Start recycling cans and bottles, metal are getting expensive, maybe you can make an extra dime from it.

5. Kill the plastic bags. Bring a big spacey hand bag and throw a chick shopping bag in your car.

6. Go vegetarian, eat food from lower food chain. It saves the resources and some fat on your thigh, belly and butt.

7. Keep the old paper bags. Whatever they are for.

8. Don't make up if you don't have to, it's a waste of time, resource, water, tissue and it ruins your skin which leads you to using more make-ups and more waste. Trust me, nobody will look pretty when earth is simply ugly.

9. Trust in God, He puts you in position to take care of his creations. Exercise your authorities now.

10. Read my blog, it's more interesting than crappy magazines and save paper.

11. Forget to bring tissue out once in a while, you might not need them anyway.

12. Scoff at people who are killing the environment, they might be ashamed for once.

13. Skip the receipt, you're just gonna throw it away anyway.

14. Hug a tree, just because you can.

15. Don't wrap your books with plastic sheets, they are bound to get yellowish and fall apart anyway. Just do your part to keep it clean.

16. Recycle those batteries, old computers and electronics. It matters.

17. Plant a tree, or a plant. Put it in your toilet, mine cheers me up in the morning.

18. Turn down that air-con, it's about time we acknowledge that we live in a tropical country and no air-cons can cool this place down.

19. Make your home comfy, so you won't have a reason to go all the way out for a good environment and use up some fuel and cough up for pricey coffee.

20. Rewear your pajamas. They are clean.

2.70

2 and 7 used to be my favourite numbers; 2 I just like it, it's seems pleasant to me, and 7 because it's God's number. But I bet tonnes of people hate the combination now. It's the rumoured price for petrol after the hike. It used to be RM1.92 for every litre. Mum said it's gonna be 4 bucks per litre in August, 'cause they said the petrol price will rise to the market price, 4 freakin' bucks, that is. Hmm. I still love 2 and 7, separated or not.

Anyway, it took us about 2 hours to jam our way to the Petronas, and mum really wanted to go to the loo. I guess we blame the government. They could have subsidize our petrol. Andrew wore this T-shirt that demand a certain leader to step down. Hmm.. I have no comment. He can stay if he can help us with the petrol price. I'm not gonna be happy if mum and dad decide to sell off my Audi because of its petrol consumption.

Guess what? There was this moment when I actually hated the petrol station. Not Petronas though, it's a Shell station. They close the station down just now. We passed Greenlane McDonalds at about 7.30p.m. The station was closed but the station's office has its lights on, meaning there was actually someone inside. Sneaky sneaky. Hmm...They think they can save their stocks till after the hike and sell us the old stocks after the price increased. HA! Caught in the act. And there was this reporter there who took pictures of the petrol station. Of course we will know which one after that. Where else can you find a SHELL station beside Penang most well-known McDonalds.

Here are some pictures that I took while waiting for the queue and while pumping petrol.

It was drizzling a lil' when we got to the station.

The people are already there to get their tank-fulls of petrol.

And they just keep coming! Look at those cars!

This fella was so happy he was pointing and dicussing about the petrol price.

Petronas personnel helping to organize the traffic.

Mum was getting annoyed by the long queue. X/

Pumping petrol was neve so hard! He's trying to screw the cap of the petrol tank in.

Full tank. YAY!

Actually I was just happy that mum paid for the bills. Now I can drive to Tanjung Bungah for canoe-ing this weekend dee! Whee~ Happy Birthday, Va~

tree-hugger

In conjunction with the World Earth Day (22nd April), as a tree-hugger myself, here some tips for my fellow green-lovers. I got all there from the internet. The top part will be the statistics for our Earth condition and the below part are the green-living tips that might help us to survive and provide a better future for the next generation. I am not an environmentalist, as Andrew puts it. I'm just trying to survive and save as many as I can.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the facts, you can be the judge.
1. According to the reports from NASA, the hottest year was 2005, which matched 1998. Twice in the last ten years we've had the hottest temperatures on average ever recorded in our planet's history. That is very likely more than just a coincidence.

2. The rate of warming has accelerated over the past 30 years, increasing at a rate of three times faster than the century-scale trend. Global annual temperatures are now around 1.0 F degrees warmer than they were in 1900.

3. According to an MIT study, there's been a 100% increase in the intensity and duration of hurricanes and tropical storms since the 1970s, most likely due to the increased amount of CO2 emissions to our atmosphere, which has increased the Earth's surface temperature, and warmer weather is believed to increase the intensity of tropical storms and hurricanes.

4. The glaciers in Greenland, Alaska, the Himalaya, the Antarctic Peninsula and on high tropical mountains are retreating rapidly; according to the U.S. Geological Survey predictions, Glacier National Park will have no glaciers left by the year 2030.5. According to the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment, 400,000 square miles of Arctic sea ice have melted, which is threatening polar bear habitats and further accelerating global warming worldwide.

5. That amount of Arctic sea ice is approximately the size of the state of Texas, and we've lost that in just the last 30 years, further emphasizing that we need to take action now before the damage becomes too severe for our efforts to really matter.

6. The sea level has risen by 10-20 cm over the past 100 years, which is likely due to the melting of the polar glaciers, which is due to the increase in the Earth's near-surface temperature. This can lead to devastating effects for coastal communities because the sea level is rising, which means that when the sea comes in-tide, more erosion can occur, and if coastal communities are present, more damage done to them. In addition, losing the glaciers reduces the amount of usable fresh water on our planet.

7. It is also projected that 15-37% of all plant and animal species could be wiped out by global warming by the year 2050, which could further cause considerable damage to our planet's ecosystem.

8. The United States is ranked number#1 among large nations of being a global warming polluter, contributing 25% of emissions, even though the U.S. only makes up 5% of the world's population. NO bills passed by the U.S. Congress to cut global warming pollution.

9. The earliest signs of wrath of the Mother Earth occured by the end of the 20th century. Many people were getting a taste of climate changes: There was a megadrought in the Southwest U.S. from 1849 to 1905, the Dust Bowl of the Great Plains in the 1930s, and a drought in China killed 3 million in the 1940s.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You might want to ask, if the situation is already that bad, whatever minimal actions I do won't help much at all. The truth is, our minimal moves are the ones that caused this, it's the collectiveness of our ignorance that make this happen, and our collective efforts are gonna salvage it. Every little action count.

Check this video out, it's an environmental movement called the Earth Hour, It started in Sydney where the residents work together to save the energy resources of the country, The whole town would switch off all the lights at once for one hour. The results of 10% of energy saved. They targeted for 5%.

So, I am starting my green-living style, taking baby-steps in my daily life. I am not asking you guys to sell off your cars or to take any extreem actions. Start small, it's how a habit is cultivated. Here are some tips that might help you guys.

1. Reduce the use of plastic bags. It is the most authentic way, More than often, I ask the sales person to keep the plastic bags. Bring a long a shopping bag wherever you go, for drivers, keep one in your car, it really comes in handy. For the old plastic bags, keep them, don't throw them away, they make really good gift bags and garbage bag.

2. Recycle! Yep, another classic, you can practically recycle anything at all, recycle the junk mails in your mailbox, the cheap pens that stop working can go in the recycle plastic bin, old clothes can be used as cloth to wipe your car, old socks.

3. Plant a plant~ I've got my pet plant. My dad gave it to me to make my toilet look better, greener. So all I do is just to change the water in the pot once in awhile. It's gorgeous and best of all, it gives out oxygen for CO2.

4. Don't throw away those batteries, they are recycle-able, 'cause I have to use triple A batteries for my mp3 player, I keep all those old, dried up ones. So instead of throwing them away and creating more toxic garbage I give them off to the people who collect old newspapers so they can bring them to the recycle center for me.

5. Turn off the powerpoints, when the plugs are in and the switch is on, the electricity is running, even though it's on stand-by mode, 10% of leakage is happening. So, switch it off, save up! The same go to the lights and air-cons.

6. Empty your glass of water that you can't finish into your humidifier, aquarium or into a pot of plant. Don't waste water.

7. Every gallon of gasoline burned produces 19 pounds of carbon dioxide, so cut down the use of fuel. Don't speed, obey the rules and keep your speed constant. Rapid acceleration and braking can decrease fuel economy by 33%.

8. Keep your shower short. Turn off the water as you brush your teeth or soap your body. It saves a lot of water by doing so. Collectively, so make it a habit.

9. Cut down on meat. Go for the lower food chain. The animal industry uses massive amounts of water and land. Roughly 70 percent of the grains grown in the United States go to feed animals, who eventually become food. This takes up much of the arable land that could be used to feed people directly. It takes ten times the fossil fuels to produce a calorie of animal food as it does to produce plant food.

10. Lastly, be creative. I can't tell you what exactly to do in every situation. So be a smart tree-hugger. Turn down your water heater, inflate your car tyres, iron less, steam your clothes while taking your shower, use eco-friendly detergent, just check out the green living sites and you can get daily tips for green living.

Take note that when IKEA started charging for plastic bags used, they actually cut down the usage by 92%. This strategy is already on full-force in the 7 Elevens and OK Marts in Taiwan when I went there like 5 years ago. This is one good steps to be mentioned and praised.

Thanks for hearing me out. I just thought it might help if this message can be made known to our Malaysians, we're already much left behind in saving the earth. These are some reference sites which I got the informations from. We are not alone, even big

corps are practising green packaging.

Enlightenment

This is to reply Francis's comment on my previous post. I cannot promise to be able to be of any help to enlighten you about the "cultural shock" that you are experiencing but I do hope my experience will help you to cope with it.

Well, first of all, we both have similar backgrounds, growing up in the same small town - although none of us think that it is small 'cause it's always so busy and in filled with so many fun things to do. We went to the same schools(yes, from kindy to high school). It was dandy fine with me through the years. I loved cycling around and get pirated VCDs from local illegal stores. They're cheap and good. My only worries seemed to be my daily argument with my siblings, extra allowance for my VCDs, and if I have missed my favourite TV show.

I knew I am gonna move probably during the end of my high school years or maybe after I graduate. I was verbally prepared and the family was happy to say buh-bye to the huge yucky drain right beside our house. I guess my change was worse than Francis's. At least he didn't move or anything. So, I went from super-innocent-nerd-co-ed to highly-complicated-sophisticated-and-filled-with-politics-girls'-school. Mind you, both are the best schools around and thanks to my 138 IQ, I got in.

Except, I have to wake up at 5 in the morning then, so that I can make it in time for my 6 a.m. school bus, and sleep in the bus while the school bus struggle through the early morning minor congestion to school, it usually takes about an hour just to get to school. Back then I only wake up at 6 a.m. to take the 7 a.m. bus, with no air-con, and the windows wide open, I can suck in all the fresh air while taking a cat nap during the ride. And since my temporary house was an apartment, the bus no longer deliver me back to my door steps, I have to walk at least 300m to get to the place where the bus usually stops, in the dark, 'cause the sun is still having its beauty sleep at 5.

And that wasn't the worst part yet, I walk into my new class just to discover that S4F(my class code) is the LAST pure science class. In sarcastic Cantonese, we call these 箩底橙。But, the good point is, they helped my forget about the stress of study as I had more than enough in my plate already. The no-good part was that girls hang out in cliques, and they had already have a steady clique (or a few cliques) through the four years in the school. Me? er...I don't even know the rules, man. I can still remember the girls thought I was a show-off and all that. They only came to know that I am no goody two shoes when I start eating in class, and my seat was just behind the head prefect. She was way to tall and her height is no doubt the greatest cover up anyone can ever ask for.

My form four year actually turned out to be bearable 'cause I hang out with happy happy friends who could make study a funny jolly thing. And it was half a year, no biggie to me. But Eva had to say buh bye to my fun friends to move up to the third class 'cause I 'proved my capability'...=="
The third class was no fun, I tell you. No fun. Fun sucks for them. They would buy a vacuum just to suck all the F, U and N outta you. Well, maybe not all that bad. But one thing I can be sure, their idea of fun is certainly and never will be parallel with my idea of fun.

So I'm gonna start my naming and shaming, I think I still have a few grudges that needs getting over with.

1. The nerds.
Those are the best, and safest people to hang out with. I love them, they are great help and are actually sincerely kind to you. They are those who puts studies in front of everything else, mostly because a number of them need to get some good scholarship to help them in the future. No hard feelings, but for such hardworking people to end up in the third class, they are not as intelligent, 'cause smart people with that kinda commitment, we have another term for them, we call them genius. Nerds are great people, but the English word make them sound less than who they are. Chinese call them scholars, 文人。They rate about 2 in the fun-o-meter, which means, most of them find no joy in everything, except their homework and text books. 0 risk takers, they don't try, think or even have illusion of breaking, bending or avoiding the law, so they can help you with academic stuffs only. These people practically faints in social crisis.

2. The promiscuous girls.
Oh yea, they are great fun and huge risk takers. Most of them don't appear in the 3rd class though, but we know them. You know, girls, rumours, I can tell you something, where girls are involved, news can spread like wild fire. Tonnes of hormon raging girls trapped in a place with no beings of opposite gender of same species is dangerous. They know all the boy's name and most of the time are taken. Their relationship status changes as frequently as the positions of stars in the night sky - if you can see them despite the pollution. One more thing though, the looks...don't really matter. Most of them look normal, but with the make-ups and minus the uniform..hmm. But some dinosaurs join the game too. They are great help in academy too, really, they know all the shortcuts. And socially, they are rather dangerous. Their network is highly broad, you just have to know that you need tobe careful with their friends who gives you funny looks.

3. The lesbians.
In other words, the mentally impaired and socially confused. Some lesbos are very much obvious. They looks like baddies in girl's school uniforms. Extremely short spikey boyish hair, no breasts and walk with their leg wide open to display their masculine...er...poise. Those are the safe lesbians, you just have to make it clear that you are not interested in dating people unsure of their gender and they'd treat you like a sister, except, they want to be your brother. The other type of lesbo are those who are highly disturbed. 'Highly' because they must have been through a lot to have such perverted views in these young ages. They might still have boy friends out there somewhere while dating girls in the school. They would cry and overwork their brain with extreme emotions. Their sexuality doesn't directly influence their social behaviour as they can fall into two or more catogeries. But please be very careful not to be pulled into the vortex by sharing their feelings.

4. The happy people.
These are the semi-s too. Most of them are semi-happy people, as most happy ones are a mix of two categories, e.g. Promiscuous + Happy. The happy ones is no help at all when bad things happen. They are 100% carefree and do not give a darn on anything that might ruin their mood. Everything is a no big deal. They are fun to be with when you're in a cheerful mood. Their intelligence may rank from 0-10. Risk-o-meter is a definite 10. They would burn the school if that makes them happy. WOHOO~

5. The shh....
The mystery people.Hmm. Surprisingly, a lot of them are not loners. They come with the clique too, they are the quiet ones. No much to reveal in their backgrounds, no emotional break down, no extreme change in academic, no problems in school so no shortcuts or any help in academic side. But most of them are quite widely known. They keep a high-low-profile, they are those who keep low profiles but are highly tracked down.

6. The Haiyak!
The manly ones. They might be crossovers of lesbos but some are just manly and not lesbos. Good in sports and hold high positions. Stern in their own fields. They know how their thing goes and are great help when you need some tips on the fields that they are familiar with. If you wanna be friends with them, you have to blend in real well with their wide social circle. Meaning, you have to be a social all-rounder, if not, you are just one of their acquaintance.

7. The scary people
These can be put into two clear divisions. The academic bullies and the social bullies. The social bullies are those who you should stay away from. They can really bring you down. Pretty girls with wonderful skin and figure. They would treat you like a sister during probation. If one fails to gain acknowledgement from them, she will be socially stripped of her privilege - at least until she recovers. Or if she is desparate to maintain her rank, she would have to be the slave of the Queenbee. To ride on the reputation of the Queenbee but under the strict social control. The academic bullies are those who excels very much in their studies. Refuse to share their source of intelligence and often laying pressures on things like greds and future plannings. They can simply narrate the contents of the text books with no difficulties. Most of them question the existence of God.

8. The socially versatiles
There are very few of these although many claims to be one. She would be the one who knows all the cliques an keeps her cool. The most neutral character, the one who know where to get help but most of the time doesn't need it. Clear and confident of her identity, not overwhelm by any cliques. Can't be of much help 'cause her priority is to maintain social security, but she would know all the other people who can help.

Of course this is a very long list that I can't finish in just an hour or so. So, well, you just need to know where're your heading and what you want outta the situation you are in right now. Innocence is not an excuse for one to stay static in his socially growth. It is up to one's perrception and intellect to determine his roles and play it well.

a girl should just be a girl

I just suddenly think that sometimes they should just let a girl be a girl. A simpleton. In the sense that no big troubles, just smooth sailing all the way. No, it is not reasonable for others to take on the burden just so the girl can be all cheerful and happy-go-lucky. But everyone should try to keep the innocent pure, the first love and passion clean.

No pretence please. in the world today, people would wanna be like Avril Lavigne, or Beyonce, maybe some wants the lime light of Britney. But no, not those heavily drawn eye liner, not the sexy outfit and outrageous actions can overthrow the inner person. But what's the point. Sometimes we just want to fit in. Blend in and be invisible. I don't get why we can be so insecure sometimes and so overwhelm by our own self esteem other times.

I blame them on the hormons. Weird stuff, hormons...they can just get your head up in the air for a mo' and the next second you will be hitting hard on the tar road. Hmm...I saw my course mate in one of those internet network social website. In her pictures she stares at the camera. And the name she chose to put on was a rather obvious attempt to project the attitude or character of so called emo, or rebel, perhaps a certain amount of darkness. The way she talks and her tone had an obvious shift from her previous way of conduct.

It hurts to see that people in the world are trying to be more of the world. And it hurts even more to see that sometimes, I myself am trying to be so too. I should know better, know that I am different. We are in the world but not of the world. All things shall come to past and only the word of God will remains. All things shall come to past, insecurities, depression, insult, verbal abuse, naming and shaming, death and life, love and all that that comes with it. I shall come to past, all my sins and all my dreams. He had signed his name over mine. We shall embrace and cry, for all He had done. What more can I ask?

So for now, I ask for peace. Claiming His promises that I shall find peace in Him. All shall come to past. Amen.

the real deal

a primary school mate added me in Friendster. no, nothing special. its normal that i failed to recognise her. i am never good with names and looks, esp new looks. it was exceptionally hard for me when i got transferred into a girl school in high school. everyone seems to have the same face and the same names. and for your information, it was a controlled school meaning girls with short hair, uniform and 60% of them wear glasses 'cause they had to handicap their eyes to get in.

back to my point, it was kinda hard, considering people love to use cutie names and some editted the photo so much their dog barks at it 'cause the dog have no idea that's its master/mistress. hmm...don't take it as an insult, 'cause it's not. i do agree that it is their right and of course if they desire to do so editting to flatter themselves is totally to their own interest and people like me, meaning not-so-beautiful people, have absolutely no stand in criticizing them. those oh-i'm-so-hot-i'm-sizzling photos, go ahead. go get 'em gurl~! mm..*cough*

at least it's better than getting a plastic surgery right? those computer effects, goodness, they can make you look like you just got a nose job and make ur skin look shades fairer. "Computer, computer, on my desk, who's the fairest of them all?" cute. and i know i totally have no right whatsoever to judge those who pop their eyes, pump those lips in the photos. yea yea, those peace sign and shhh...signs. hmm...its fine with me really. *choke on my own saliva*

well. err, i guess if people can't afford real jewellery they can, erm, you know, stick a crown thingy from the clip-arts and put it in their pics. who can blame those people, come'on. diamonds are a girl's best friend, ain't it? even those computer, erm, pixelize ones. Oh yea, and those blinking lights and Japanese words that no one in their friendlist understand, they're totally cool to me. honestly. it's an...an...erm...a culture exchange thingy, isn't it?

Oh and honestly if one looks so bad, or you simply have self esteem so low you can't bear looking at your own photo or to share it with the rest of the world, you can simply google-image one of those famous hotties/honeys/hunks photo and put it in your profile instead. No worries man, we understand. we gotcha back.

nuff said. XD

I've always like simple words being put together, like beads being tied up into a funky necklace. My way of putting my thoughts into words. my expressions. "I never know when it started"..."late nights"...."drunkenness"..."watch from afar"...."your presence and absence"....of my words, of my God, of my late nights, of my him, of my thoughts, of writing my blogs to people who would never read it, of words that people understand with thoughts that nobody can comprehend. Leave me this way.

Bloggaphiles do view blogs. I hate it when you try to be someone esle. writting things that never exist in words of mine, don't try to be me when you hardly know me. call me selfish, this is the only space I can occupy, fully of myself, so won't you leave me alone?! Does it seem cool to you to try to be someone esle? Stop faking that you're falling apart! Stop making you like when I was breaking down. Trying to duplicate my late night drunkenness. Feeding on my inspiration. What are you?!

What are you thinking, you're not fooling anyone trying to become something esle. Plain crappy of you to do whatever you're trying to do. Simply putting other people's words in your page and fake an identity. Writing for the sake of your hypocrite thinking.

My words for you. Get a life.
